Game is an structured activity usually undertaken for enjoyment. Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation.Games help to develop practical skills and is a form of exercise also.Sometimes it is also used an education tool.A lot of good games are released in 2007.This year will be remembered as the year next-generation gaming came into its own.Top ten games of 2007 are the following.

1.The Orange box

The orange box is a video game produced and published by Valve corporation.It features five complete games in to one unit.This package contains five games all are powered by Valve’s source Engine.Half-Life 2 and its two expansions, Episode One and Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.There are several achievements spread among all five games. Half-Life 2 features a larger proportion of these these achievements include killing a certain number of monsters, finding hidden weapon caches, or other tasks specific to each game.The soundtrack for this game consists of music composed by Valve employees from Half-Life 2.The Orange Box is a great achievement in the game field.

2.Halo 3

Halo 3 is a first person shooter video game developed by Bungie for XBOX 360.Halo 3 holds the record for the highest grossing opening day in entertainment history.In this game the player assumes the role of the Master Chief.The game features vehicles and weapons.It employs advanced graphics technologies such as High Dynamic Range, global lighting and depth of field effects within cut scenes.Every level is perfectly placed and balanced and graced with architectural compositions.The epic storyline and the stirring score don’t hurt either.It is really a great game in that bunch.

Super Mario Galaxy is a 3D platform game developed and published by Nintendo for Wii.The game follows Mario on his quest.It is through space to save Princess Peach from his arch-nemesis Bowser. Levels take the form of galaxies.The levels are filled with a variety of minor planets and worlds while game play is updated with a variety of gravity effects and new power ups.This game won numerous “game of the year ” awards.When the player begins the game, the player has only access to a limited number of galaxies. As more and more Power Stars are collected, more galaxies become available for the player to access.

4. Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty 4 is a first person shooter  video game published by Infinity ward and published by Activision.The story is set in a fictional near-future war between the United States, United Kingdom, and Russian Loyalists against Russian Ultra nationalists and Middle Eastern rebels. It features real-world weapons and vehicles.It features real-world weapons and vehicles.It’s features  include true world-dynamic lighting, HDR lighting effects, dynamic shadows, and depth of field.The music for Call of Duty 4  Modern Warfare was composed by British composer Stephen Barton.

Mass Effect is an action role-playing game developed by BioWare for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360.It’s story primarily falls within the space opera genre. It explores themes such as space colonization, intolerance, vigilantism, and artificial intelligence.The soundtrack, composed by Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, Richard Jacques, and David Kates and features 37 tracks.It features four classes of conventional weapons and a variety of weapon and armor upgrades. The player can pause the game at any time and change the equipment .

Crysis is a science fiction first person shooter computer game developed by German vedio game developer Crytek and published by Electronic Arts.Crysis is based on a fictional future where an ancient alien spacecraft has been discovered beneath the Earth on an island near the coast of China.It is an open ended game with many ways to meet the objective.This game features the standard gamut of first-person shooter weapons .A large selection of vehicles are present. 32 players are supported in each multi player match in this game.It is really an excellant first person shooter game.

Sins of a Solar Empire is a science fiction real-time strategy computer game developed by Ironclad Games for Windows XP and Vista and published by Stardock Entertainment .It is a  space-bound game.The playing field is a 2D web of 3D planets and other 3D celestial objects clustered around one or more stars.This game offers new size and scale technologies .The game  also features bump mapping on planets and ships, specular lighting, dynamic fractal generation for stars and clouds, and bloom.This game has 3 main resources to gather.Credits , metal and crystal.It’s game play features seamless transition between epic strategy and tactical combat modes.

Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation  is the latest installment of the Ace Combat franchise. It covers the war between the Republic of Emmeria and the Federal Republic of Estovakia on the Anean continent, north of Yuktobania.It includes 4 default multiplayer modes.They are Battle Royale, Siege Battle, Team Battle, and Co-Op Battle.The action is fast-paced, and the landscapes and atmospheric effects are  vivid.It begins in the Emmerian capital of Gracemeria. It is the story of the story of Melissa Herman as she watches her daughter getting on to a school bus for a field trip.It is really an interesting game.

9.BioShock

BioShock is a first-person shooter video game by 2K Boston/2K Australia previously known as Irrational Games designed by Ken Levine. It is the thirteenth of “Game ranking “.The main resources in the game are ADAM, EVE, and money.It is one of those rare games that combines not only amazingly polished graphics and sound, but very solid, deep, complex game play, a great story, and an overall feeling of immersion that sucks you in and keeps you playing that few other titles can match.It tells the story of a plane crash survivor that somehow ends up in the underwater city of Rapture.

10.Rock Band

Rock Band is a music video game developed by Harmonix Music Systems published by MTV Games.It allows players to perform in virtual bands by providing up to four players with the ability to play three different peripherals modeled after music instruments .Players must play instruments in time with musical notes as they scroll towards them on the screen.All versions of this game features the same core 58 playable tracks on the game disc. 45 of these are featured tracks in the main setlist,  the other 13 tracks are bonus songs by independent or lesser-known bands, as well as bands made up of Harmonix employees.It is a different experiance in gaming.
