Photoshop, one of the most important program in computer. They keep on updating new versions of photoshop. Adobe Photoshop is the most popular for creating and modifying images for the web. The powerful tools used to enhance and edit the pictures are also capable for use in the digital world including the infinite possibilities of the Internet. Photoshop has been around since 1982 and that’s around 20 years of troubleshooting and advancing software. Now some of the Photoshop secrets are listed below.

1. Drag Selection

It is a shortcut which allows you to drag the inactive selection around. Have we ever tried to make a precise rectangle selection, but dragged at the wrong position, and we had to release our mouse and re-drag again. Well, next time before you release your mouse button, hold down the Spacebar and Photoshop will allow you to drag the selection around. Take a look at this. This can be made possible by Marquee tool.

2. Refine Edge

One click button, it allows you easily to feather, contract, and expand your selection. It provides preview in various modes (quick mask, on white, on black background, etc.), so we can know exactly how our selection will turn out.

3. Browse the font list

When we put the cursor in the font list dropdown one thing occurs, that is we can browse the font list by pressing arrow Up or Down key.

4. Smart Filter

Photoshop now allows us to apply Smart Filters, so your Smart Object remained non-destructive and re-editable. To apply Smart Filter, select one or more layers, go to Filter > Convert for Smart Filters. Then apply any filter as you want. You can edit the Smart Filter mask to adjust the filter’s effects or simply toggle it on/off.

5. Zoom with the scroll wheel

In case of enlarging images we need to zoom. we can do that by hot keys. That is we can zoom in / out by Cmd + Opt + scroll up or down.

6. Drag just to adjust numeric value

Apply the mouseover the input box, hold down Cmd + drag left or right to increase / decrease. Hold down Cmd + Opt or Shift key and drag can change the value in decimal or 10 interval. This shortcut works in all dialog palettes.

7. Scroll to adjust Numeric value

Put the cursor in the input box, scroll up or down to increase / decrease value. This shortcut works in all dialog palettes.

8. Arrow Up/Down to adjust numeric value

Put the cursor in the input box, press arrow Up or Down to increase / decrease. Hold down Shift and press arrow Up or Down will change value in 10 interval.

9. Zoom to 100%

Double click on the Zoom tool will zoom document to 100%. That is we can zoom into full screen.

10. Interface

One of the obvious changes in Photoshop is the palette interface. Now you can dock, collapse or expand toolbar palettes to save workspace.
